Dean Strombom, LEED AP BD+C, RA

Principal/ Regional Director of Global Client Relationships and Advisory of Energy Practice Area

With a Gensler career spanning more than three decades and a portfolio of more than 40 million square feet, Dean leads the planning and design of corporate campuses, commercial office buildings, workplace interiors, and mixed-use developments. He is one of Gensler’s Firmwide Energy Practice Area Advisors and a Regional Director for the firm’s Global Client Relationships team. A highly regarded workplace performance specialist and frequent speaker at industry events across the U.S., Dean leverages his unique blend of education in psychology, sociology and architecture to offer strategic real estate and design insight. He is co-author of The Commercial Real Estate Revolution and sits on the Advisory Board of the University Of Houston Graduate School Of Real Estate at Bauer College. Dean’s active involvement in the local real estate market includes serving as President of the Houston Chapter of CoreNet.

Sven Govaars, MCR, SLCR

Consulting Regional Leader

Sven leads Gensler’s Consulting Practice for its South Central Region. Sven offers expertise in organizational change, design strategy, and meeting facilitation. His work is premised on his belief that organizational success directly corresponds to a company’s ability to connect work, people, and place. To this end, he created an infographic that illustrates the value in human capital and developed Gensler Calc, an iPad application to quantify it.

Yishio Kuo, LEED AP ID+C, NCIDQ, RID

Senior Associate/Design Director

Yishio is an accomplished interior designer with more than 24 years of experience. She started winning awards for her abilities while still an interior design student at the University of Houston and continues to garner accolades for her work on Totally Carpet Showroom, Vinson & Elkins, Akin Gump, Baker Botts, DePelchin Children's Center, and Anadarko Tower. The stunning spaces she has designed have been featured in Texas Architect and Hospitality Design magazines. Widely respected by her associates for her design sensibilities, Yishio is considered a valuable resource with the ability to find the most appropriate design solutions and conceptualize an extraordinary space for each client. To Yishio, it is all about creating a sense of place that represents the client's unique brand and culture.

Vincent Flickinger, LEED AP BD+C, RID

Senior Associate/Design Director

Vince brings more than 17 years of experience in a broad range of project roles. From design to construction administration, Vince is involved in all phases of a project. Peers and clients look to him for guidance on matters of design as well as technical challenges. He most enjoys a collaborative team setting. He finds great value in learning from people with various levels of experience and backgrounds. Vince has an eye for detail and a unique design perspective. He enjoys the fast-paced, detail-oriented nature of interior design— his elegant, thoughtful solutions create spaces that end-users truly appreciate. Vince was interior design lead for the award-winning Houston Ballet Center for Dance.

Kimberly Serrano, RID, LEED ID+C, NCIDQ, IIDA

Interior Designer

As an Interior Designer, Kimberly’s ability to work on multiple projects, of various sizes and scope, through all phases of design helps her team continue to deliver successful workspace solutions. Kimberly works closely with project architects and collaborates with other team members to develop a program and design concepts for clients. Her greatest skill is her ability to manage quick-turn timelines and problem solve for her clients, in order to deliver a project that is well designed, on time, and in budget. Kimberly graduated from Texas State University with a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design.
